Fairly Cheap Flexible Software | | I am on the verge of building a 3 axis milling machine. I ran into a guy at a yard sale and ended up with everthing I need except a spindle and software to build one. I will have to custom make some things and may have some guys at the shop I work at help me out. But I was wondering what type of software should I use to begin with?
I have several different types of controllers I can work with for the steppers and others I can use for the servo for main spindle. How does any type of software I download or buy make use of these controllers.
I am reading a little bit about cnc machining and trying to get a feel for how the process works (I work as an operator at a machine shop with Citizen swiss style machines). This will strictly be one of my endevours that hopefully comes to fruition (sp?).
Thanks Jim |
