| Hi Folks I'm Andrea, writing from Italy I'm building a 4 axis CNC router. Now I have to choose the control SW. I used to think about Mach 3 but now on this forum I read it has some trouble with 4th axis... And I would need to find a Windows XP PC to run it. So: is there a SW able to run 4 axis on an old Pentium 90 with Win 95? Maybe using an external board? Which to choose? Many thanks! Any useful answer will be rewarded with a fresh beer when you'll come to visit Torino! :-) Andrea |

| Andrea, You are mistaken about Mach2/3 software not being able to do 4th axis. I use 4th axis nearly daily and I run Mach2. The Pentium 90 will not run it however. Since I don't drink beer.....a nice new Colombo high speed spindle will work just fine! Mike

| Have you looked at DeskAm or DeskCNC? I don't own either but have heard very good things about them and the price is fair. FWIW, I just purchased a CNC router that is suppose to come with DeskAM. It should arrive in the next week or so. I can give you a better response then if you are still searching for a solution. |

| I run mach2 on an AMD 1.3gig processor, but I have heard some have run it on less. You might also go to http://www.machsupport.com/ and you will find links to all kinds of Mach support. Mike
