Engraving Macro

Does anyone out there have an engraving macro for a Fanuc control?

Don't bother. Use desk engrave by Deskam.

Yep. Atom is right. DeskEngrave is better than any Fanuc Macro, unless you are looking for something like putting serial numbers on your parts and want the number to increase sequencially on each part. Then you're going to need that Macro.

One thing I had fun with using DeskEngrave was using a picture font (WingDings, ect.) and you can add little pictures to your engraving projects with ease.

Hey Atom,

Looking at your avatar, did you make those?

Do you have any info on these 3d item? Websites? etc?

I have seen them somewhere before and planning on making one myself in future. If possible... I hope...Still bussy making my own CNC machine.

Yep, made them myself. One, the cubes are fixed and the other, the cubes are loose inside each other. I can post the prog if you want (if I can remember where I put it).

Atom,

I am so incredibly green on this subject, you wouldn't believe it. I have no trouble in building the machine, but making those files work with my future stepper engines, thats a complete different ballgame !

Would i have to copy paste these lines and save them into a vector file, and then importing them into a 3D CNC program?

I made a decent machine with stepper control from NC-Step. I have not fired-up the steppers, but that is near future.

I love to hear any tips, although i probably would have to post such a request elsewhere.

Nope,

It's hiding a bird

The mechanical part of building is progressing according to "plan", but its the software that needs more attention on my part.

I'm trying to find out if there is decent freeware out there, that can manage "complex" manouvres, just like those neat looking metal cubes in your avatar.

Hi, I'm new to the form but a did notice this message by E-Stop and i am looking to put numbers in sequence per part. i was wondering if anyone could help me out and push me in the right direction??????
