Hi Need to know how to program a HAAS rotary table (HRT450) on a Hitachi Seiki V65 mill with a Fanuc 11M control It is a secondhand machine and has no documentation on the HAAS. It has it's own servo control so can I call up M functions from the Fanuc control, or does the Haas servo have to be programmed manually to work on a multi sided job. The machine isn't a true 4 axis Thanks Smoggy |

| I'd go to Haas and get a handbook on it for programing and maintenance. I think you're saying you have the controller right? If your machine has the card installed to run the Haas, you should be able to use M/G codes to drive it. M11 (unlock), M10 (lock) etc, unless this has been changed to use something different. Otherwise, you'll need to use the Haas controller to index manually durring the program. You'll want the books anyway so you'll know how to set things like reference zero, indexing/rotary speeds, backlash comp, programming indexes and such. |

| It may also be setup to recieve an input signal that tells it to go and then it will index the programmed amount and send a "done" signal back to the MC for it to start machining again. Often machines have spare I/O for this (M60 to M80 for example). Just educated guessing here.
