cad/cam for Mac OS ???

Is there any cad/cam software for a Mac OS ?. A friend started at a new company & they have nothing, sharp pencil & a calculator only. He has to prog a Fanuc lathe control & was wondering if there is anything that would run on his Mac laptop ?. Preferably free software, not cracked & hacked.

I use a Mac, and I haven't found any CAM software for a Mac. There are a few CAD programs out there.

As long as it is a late model, that is uses a intel processor you can use bootcamp to run windows and thus any cad/cam program will run. All I have is Mac's any more and mastercam solidworks-solidcam or anything else is no problem.

Great thanks guys. I will have to find out what he has for an OS on his mac & see if the bootcamp will work. Also if that won't work what are some of the cad programs you mentioned would run on the Mac. At least he could get his points from the cad dwg & manually put a program together.

I'm a mac user as-well and I got to attend to a workshop about PLN NX, they gave us a demo Cd with all CAD/CAM/CAE apps, the CAD/CAM is very impressive indeed but the final price is also very high.

Sorry to say but I haven't heard much from my old coworker he was transferred to another facility so I think this may have fallen to the way side.
