| Travis, For my home use, I use progeCad (http://www.progesoft.com/) as it is compatible with Acad dwg files, easy to use and free for non-commercial use.

| Try dolphin cad cam. They are best for CAM but offer there 2d cad for free. Its worth while to check out before spending anything. |
