I'm looking for simple software to help me generate the G-code for blending a radius with an angle.

I'm not looking for anything fancy, just want to be able to plug in some known variables like start and finish diameters with "r" call outs.

All I'm going to do is copy the G-Code and paste to existing programs.

You could make something using an Excel spreadsheet.

How would I do that? I need to blend a .060" radius into a .030" radius from .160" diameter down to .082 diameter.

My code would look something like:

G1X.160Z.200
G2X(??)Z(??)R.06F.001
G3X.082Z(??)R.03F.001

Basically I don't know where the G2 finishes and the G3 starts to blend the 2 radii's.

Another feature on the part blends a .030r into a 60 degree angle and into a .010r.

Knowing where to start and stop the features is what I'm looking for.

We need one more information from your code, something is missing...... you have to give us one endpoint or center point of the radius, otherwise the .03 radius can be all over the place.

I don't think there any simple software can help you, not that I know of. But some thing like this you can by hand or do something like Wayne Hill suggested do it with Spreadsheet/Excel.

I can trig angles and full radii but, how do calculate blending of radii? Then how to blend a radius into an angle?
