Getting image recognized (CAMExpert) | | Using the CAMExpert extention of QCad to try to do some basic engraving. I'm looking to make some serial number plates for my company. I started with a very basic setup, just text with the model number and serial number. No problems there, but I'd really like to get the company logo incorporated into the design. I took a picture of the logo in photo shop and removed the background and saved it as a .png file. I put this into the drawing with no problem and it looks great. Whenever I try to export it to gcode, it skips right over the image and only does the text. What it seems to me is that it only "sees" the border of the image as an entity and not the image itself. What am I doing wrong? I know there are a bunch of free "image to gcode" converters out there, but my problem is I'm using a mac. That very much limits my options, unless I'm missing one. That also wouldn't allow me to have my easily modifiable serial numbers. |
