Hello, For roll machining enough programs will swap Y to A rotary axis for instance, but they only compensate in A with the tool positioned over the rotary centre line . For small work diameters, using A axis to compensate can create geometric problems from axial taper. A better way is tool compensation in Y for A axis moves. Anything out there other than high end packages? Thanks very much. Dave. |
