Has anyone had any luck in selling their CAM software if it is not being used? Are there any legal issues with re-selling software? I've got two seats of Esprit that I would like to get rid of. What would be the best avenue to sell these (classifieds on here, Ebay, etc.)? Justin |

| It is likely that you don't actually own the software but have a grant to use it for your own purposes. Software licenses are often non-transferrable too which means that, although you don't need it anymore, it cannot even be given away (let alone resold) ... legally speaking. All I suggest is check the license terms so that you can make an informed decision about what to do. The terms should be located in a file in the program folder but if not, just install again and the terms should appear. |

| With the exception of drugs and certain firearms, anything can be sold. You probably can sell it but it will be up to the software company to determine if it can be registered and later updated. If the software needs a SIM, dongle, hasp, or whatever to run, then that makes it more likely it can be sold and registered. Check with Esprit on the registration/legal stuff so you can tell the buyer what to expect. They generally go for 50% of the original price if it’s a current version and go down from there. |
