I have several Star and Citizen swiss style lathes and we are considering purchasing two seats of GibbsCAM to program them. I've been told that they will come into the shop and custom write postprocessors for our processes. Has anyone worked with GibbsCAM for swiss lathes? Thanks |

| I have used GibbsCAM for doing some simple swiss programming. I modified my posts for the code I needed. After all, it still programs like a regular CNC lathe except the headstock slides. If they will do your posts, I would not be afraid of it. Besides, they will give you a money back guarantee on the software. |

| esprit has more the powerful and easy way to balance the program. Wait codes are easily manipulated graphically. Please have some one for dp technology give you a demo on site. And get a free disk sent to you if you can learn on your own. and any program will give you the g codes to move the tools. It is the in-depth level of subtle sophistication that keeps me renewing the service maintenance for esprit. I've been a user for 13 years. And please be weary of any CAM software that relies on the thing you need to be "in the post". When they say that at a demonstration I now understand that they are saying that their software is weak in that area. |

| Hi Tom, do you have a citizen A20 post in any format?, it would be great if you can help me with that. I need the post to make some tests, I am an Esprit User but I cannot generate an NC code because I just have post examples whit the program. :S. |
