i need too talk with someone about the 5 axis project using the gear driven rotary stages with the globe motors i am interested in investigating this as a project, i have one rotary stage and 3 linear stage 3 servos an aluminum fixture plate and a cast iron right angle plate 16 " tall x 9 " wide to mount the linear stage as my z axis. i would like too know what controller card was used and what feed rates are attainable since the rotary stage seems too only rotate at 4 rpm. also concerned about backlash on the gears, it seems your second project used different rotary stages. thanks any information appreciated. mark |

| I think you're talking about Rab. He's got a Yahoo group here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CNC_Toolkit to support his 5 axis CAM software. You can probably get ahold of him there. Here's his website. http://www.rainnea.com/cnc_5axis.htm
