    Total Lathe Noob CAD Advice

Ok, so I'm not a CNC noob just a lathe noob. I've got Rhino and Artcam. What software CAD would be good for lathes? I don't even know any names of software. I'll be doing simple shapes and threading. Thanks.

Harley, you already told me . Thanks I called them up and they're going to give it to me for cheap, but I still have to save some dough first. From what they told me I can save the files in the CAD, unlike some demos, then I can have them ready to CAM once I buy the program.

Dert, I'll check them out. Thanks as well.

its good to be able to try out a fully activated demo and get some code then the proof is in the pudding , if you like it let me know and i will be able to work something out for you , i'm not trying to push it but its an excellent software and i will be selling it and posting it on my site within the next couple of weeks , being a reseller of dolphin Too , i would put my personal preference to shopcam but then to each his own

The best thing to do is find out what is available within your budget. Then run a demo yourself for trial. Just my personal opinion, resellers aren't the greatest people to get advice from. Nothing personal against anyone, you just never know whos out there for the money or not. Check out shopcams forum here as well as dolphins. Customers using the products should speak pretty good volume.

    Just my .02c

a good reseller can actually give a fair bit of appropriate information and not sway a person from an appropriate purchase just make make a dollar , it's called integrity

    just my 2 cents
