Hi All, One of my friends has a little used Mori Seiki D60W9ST-SN (at least thats what the model number says it is). I think it must be from the 70's. It has a Fanuc 5T control but can be programmed with a laptop via an RS232 that has been retrofitted (I think its called a BTR?). Currently my friend writes all his G-code from scratch. Is it possible to use a CAM package to generate G-code from a CAD drawing for this machine? What CAD/CAM package would you recommend bearing in mind that we're running a 30 year old lathe because we're not millionaires. TIA, Bob. |
