Hi All, I am kinda new to CNC machining, but I had experience in 3D Modeling. What is the best combination out there? I am planning to work on packaging for consumer products like cellphones to rackmounts of cellular base stations. For example, is SolidWorks + Mach3 + MasterCAM + CNC Xylotek Servos will work? Anyway, I thought I would ask someone experienced in this field before I "dive" in head first! Thanks in advance everyone!!! ![]() Sincerely, Don Gabriel TurboVectorZ |

Hi Don, I currently use MasterCam X3 for all my design work and machining. Brilliant package and user friendly, I also use EdgeCam sometimes for no obvious reason. I feel its good to try out packages until you find one that does the job for you, its not always what people say, its how you feel your way around the package that counts. Regards Moz |
