Until now I have been able to load my programs into the machine control. I now am getting into some stuff that will have programs much larger then the memory in the machine. Has anyone used a ethernet to RS232 adaptor for this kind of thing? http://www.gridconnect.com/net232-dte.html I am wondering if it will handle the handshaking properly. |

You might want to buy a unit that has galvanic isolation between all interfaces= RS232, Ethernet, power source. I did not see that feature on that particular model. This one has it, but cost more: http://www.westermo.com/Resource.phx...er/edw-120.htx It even has 2 serial ports. You also need to provide your own power source 10-60 VDC. |
