| Dear all, i am looking for a 5-axis programming package typical for aerospace applications. Please someone guide me which software is good for 5-axis between Pro/e and UGS. ![]() please explain the advantages in technical and user friendly aspects. if any one using these package for 5-axis please leave your comments and difficulties you faced with them. | Wow Are you sure your ready for the firestorm of debate here? I haver been using UG (now called NX) for over 25 years and programmed many 5 axis machines. It can to simple 5 axis positioning and full 5-axis contouring. It is not an easy system to learn. Lots and lots of options to control the tool axis and drive motion. the Variable contour works great. You can use whats called Sequential Mill to create very detailed contouring paths as well. I have not used Pro/e so I can't speak on that topic. I am sure someone will add comments on that topic.
