| Hi, I'm still a newbie machinist and would like to know which major CAM-softwares are suitable for turning machines. I think it should be able to simulate my hand coded nc-programs too and be able to output tool paths as Fanuc's canned cycles if applicable. Am I wishing too much? I read somewhere that at least older MasterCAM made really long nc-programs (not being able to use canned cycles?) and that its turning software wasn't so great. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have only hand coded some basic XZ-turning machines so far, but I would like to learn to master more sophisticated machines and modern CAM-tools also. |
