| I have made an image in autocad and want to transfer it in to mastercam. Unfortunately when I do, the splines I used in the image do not transfer. This image took a long time and I don't want to redo it with straight lines and arcs. Is there any way to transfer the file from autocad to mastercam without losing all of the splines? |

| Make sure you've got updated dll's for Mastercam's Autocad converter. Also try exporting it as a dxf from Autocad. Is it 3d?

| I tried DXF and updated all DLL files but still nothing works. The image is not a 3d image. I'm using vresion 8 of Mastercam mill version but I also have version 9. I'm using autocad 2002. Any other ideas? Thank you for the help so far. |

| Oh, damn. I missed the part about it being an image. You'll have to export the grafix then do a raster to vector conversion.

What version .dxf are you saving as. R12 doesn't support splines. If you're using 2000 .dxf's, then that would mean MasterCAM is not reading the .dxf's correctly, or converting the splines itself.
