| "choosing your CADCAM" article Here is a link to an interesting article from Modern Machine Shop magazine. John Callen kind of cleared up a hazy issue that has been bugging me lately, specifically, how every CADCAM salesman seems to think that their package does everything for you, so you buy it, only to find it doesn't deliver as expected. The problem is the battle of process-based versus geometry-based CAM. Have a read: http://www.mmsonline.com/articles/040302.html

| Hu, I read that article the other day in the "library". Very enlightening. Two thumbs up. A must read.

| Without knowing it, I guess that "Process CAM" is what I was achieving when working with scripting in Bobcad. Bobcad out of the box is not a "Process CAM", but it is able to serve as the basis for Process CAM by delivering a little bit of geometric input into a script, where most of the logic for completing a task and writing the code comes from.
