Software recommendations please

Need recomendations on simple, fast, cadcam software. Just doing simple 2d panel cutting with multicam router...plywd and solid surface material. Complex interlocking shapes, but just 2d.

I've been using alphacam for 7 years and like it ....I guess. It's the only one I've used. I probably only use about a dozen or so tools, so the software is way more involved than I probably need.

I just bought bobcamcad and it seems real clunky and slow and what's with all this g-code stuff. Alphacam takes care of that in a split second behind the scene.

Tired of paying & paying and never owning. Up to $16,000.00 so far, now they want $2,575.00 just to up grade from the deskey to a usb security key!

Sheetcam is good. My first cam program. But IMO Cut2D is even better for what you are doing.

Cut2D user interface is IMO second to none.

EDIT: If you are using automatic tool changer I think you must go one better and look at Vcarve Pro. (Same link)
