Does anyone know how to disable the circular interpolation feature in NX5. I would just like to output files with no arcs in a posted G code program. I have switched off the "output circular record" in the post using Post Builder but it doesn't help it still outputs circular commands. There use to be a drop down in each operation under Machine Control but in NX5 it is not there anymore and I cannot for the life of me figure where it went too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bruno |

| Depending on the template you are using, some of the operations no longer have the "Arc Output Type" as a default option on the dialog. In NX5, they replaced the old "Machine Control" icon with a collapsable block, and that option got left off. You can customize the option back to the menu. From the Dialog: Options -> Other Options -> Customize Dialog From the ONT: Right-Click -> Object -> Customize Then look for "Machine Control" (the old icon & dialog), or "Arc Output Type" in the "Available Items" (bottom) section, and use the up arrow to move it to the "Items Used" (top) section. It will paste below the currently selected item. You can use the up/down arrows on the right to move the item in the list. If this is a standard for your shop, I would recommend editting the template to set the defaults the way you want them, or add the options back into the menus for cases where you will need to change the option while programming. Be Well

| well it seems as if I have no customizing options. I don't see the customize option in the ONT when I right click the operation and I also don't have the option in the OPTION OTHER OPTIONS window either. Do I need to allow customizing to be allowed some where? |

| Hmmmm... It is possible to customize the "customize" option off of the operation dialog, although I can't imagine why anyone would do that. I don't see a way to remove it from the Right-Click (MB3) dialog. You're certain you are Right-Clicking on an operation, then Object?

| It looks like it is also possible to remove the "Customize" options from the menufile for the "Right-Click" dialog. However, that means someone must have configured it that way when they installed it. Do you have a Sys Ad person or group that sets up your configs & installs software? You had me stumped for a bit, as I've never seen those options missing. I'm also going to check with the UI team, just to make sure I'm not missing anything. Be Well [ EDIT ] Although we ought to be looking at why your post isn't working. I just tested several cases, and the "Output Circular Record" option works fine. Do you mind sharing your post so I can take a look at it?
