We do a lot of sheet metal stamping die design, and have to bend, unbend parts with ribs, flanges etc. I would like to start doing in Solid modeling, but have found the autocad surfacing/solid modeling to leaves a lot to be desired. Looking for what CAD software is the best for this type of Modeling. The inherent ability to unfold, develop blanks would be good also... Thanks for your help! |

| Look at www.forming.com. I used a demo version of the forming suite to create a flat pattern of a project. The software is used in the auto industry and seems to be quite good. |
