I am looking for a relatively inexpensive CAM package for lathes. I have a Omniturn GT75 with live tooling. The live tooling is not critical, but it certainly would be beneficial to have that capability. I looked at BobCAD and they wont have a live tooling module for 6 months or so. Gibbs CAM wanted $10,500, and if I wanted to use solids add another $4000 to that. WAY outta my price range. I have a call into Mastercam, but I suspect it'll be in the same price range as Gibbs. Ideally I'd get a lathe programming package with live tooling support, but I would seriously consider a package that doesnt support live tooling but there is a upgrade path to get support for it. Looking for suggestions. Thanks |

| I'd like to keep the cost under $2000 if I can. I have Rhino 3D and Intellicad for my 2D design work. I do have a mill package that works great for my mill. It just doesn't have any lathe capability at all. |
