I Just got a new computer with vista and I am running Rhino and other cad programs I am kinda on a tight budget i was reccomended a nvidia geforce will this run Rhino fine (geforce 8600 gt 512 mb ddr2 open gl 2.0) it is ike $120 bucks the nvidia part number is PVT84JYAJG just figured i would ask because before i waste my money John  |

| We are in discussion on this in the BobCAD thread right now. Yes, that card will run it. No, that card is not designed for CAD, it is designed for gaming, it CAN have problems. An appropriate CAD card would be a Quadro or FireGL. My laptop has an 8600GT and it runs SolidWorks acceptably.

| dgalaxy, I have windows vista and a nvidia gaming card, running very high end cad (UGNX) with no problems. Just make sure you have the latest driver from nvidia. (ver 163.75) Brian |
