| I have no idea what I'm doing but I know what I'm looking for. The basic concept is a (mircowave oven sized) CNC machine capable of “writing a name in glue”. Working directly thru an interactive pen display, the “name” is imputed utilizing digitizing tablet technology. Interfacing the tablet with PC controlled hardware, capable of continuous 3 axis movement with a vertical drop cool glue head, dropping glue as presented by the interactive pen display. I understand the last process which is the application of the glue technology and its application but no nothing before that, any mentorship would be appreciated. Jim D. |

| Plan on spending some serious programming time if you want it to be interactive in realtime, as you'll need to write all your own software. If you can live with write first, then let the machine run, there's a far simpler way. A member here, Switcher, has written a simple app that will create g-code from a tablet. You could then load the g-code into Mach3, which is capable of running your machine and applying the glue.

| ger21, thanks for the responce, I understand a little about G & M codes. I understand little about a lot. Is the first step to talk to Switcher and whats Mach3 I think I can live with "write first, then let the machine run,"concept. By the way I don't have a machine yet it's still in the conceptual stage, all I have is an idea and I'm trying to get things up a running in about 8 months. Do you understand what I'm trying to do ? What type of PC should I have? By the way I see your in Michigan, my wife's family is from Monroe, Yaeger Shoe's they now currently live upstate in Hale. |
