Problem converting image to DXF.

Hello, i'm trying to vectorize a JPG-image and convert it to DXF so i can engrave it.
However i don't get any results.

The first image is what it looks like after tracing bitmap in Inkscape, after that i do a File > Save as and select DXF.
The second image is about what it looks like when i import it in any CAD-program.
Have got the same result with different cad-programs so i assume i'm doing something wrong in inkscape. Could anyone help me with this?

I don't think Inkscapes .dxf output works correctly in the Windows version.

I don't know if the output formats will be of any advantage to you.

Try using Corel and vectorized the JPEG image. Clean up the nodes the best you can and fix the curves then EXPORT this image as dxf. If you have Autocad you should be able to open it.
