how do i draw a graph in inkscape so it would be in xz coordinates for a lathe? i got an old starturn cnc tabletop lathe running on emc2 in linux. and i've been trying to learn to design my own parts to make. i figured out how to change a dxf file to g codes, i even found a program to add in tool passage and depths. i've been using inkscape to do the drawings, but once they are translated into g code, they are all in xyz coordinates, like a milling machine. how do i draw a graph in inkscape so it would be in xz coordinates for a lathe? or can inkscape even do that? i'm pretty new to cnc machining, and this is a school design project that turned me onto cnc machines. please help... |
