    Question Cad software for sheetmetal?

    I would like to know if someone can point me in the right direction on cad software for sheetmetal work.

    I know Inventor does sheetmetal if that helps.

    Alhtough I don't do sheetmetal often, inventor has been easy to use when I have needed it.

    Has unfold option also.

    I've seen sheetmetal options in SolidWorks but never used them. I know that Pro-E also has the capability, but may be out of the price range.

    Most solid modeling software has a sheet metal feature to it.

    Alibre Design has sheet metal in it. I have the software but have never used it so I cannot share whether good or bad, the company does seem to be reputable, price is reasonable for small business at $500 (I think that is what I paid over a year ago.)

    Sheet metal in Solidworks 04 is pretty complete, consider calling them for a demo.
