company just purchased a new 8ft. faro arm system. The arm works like a champ, unfortunately it exports data as iges file type. I was told that the coding in the iges file type wasn't constructed to handle 3d surfaces very well. Currently any 3d scan is imported into solidworks as a 3d sketch which is just about worthless for lofting. Does anyone know how to convert an iges file type to a different CAD file or how to loft with a 3D sketch. Thanks |
