| What kind of files are you working with? No, I don't mean mill bastard, double cut, nor lathe files, I mean drawing files ![]() Are you going to have to sketch your drawings to make your own files? For that you need CAD. You always need CAD to go with any CAM (programming) software, but we'd need to narrow the field a bit, by understanding your type of work, how many programs you need to write, whether you are a 'toolpath control freak' or not etc. Help us help you.

more or less I want to pick a tool, pick the path, genorate code, cut and paste into main program as sub routines. I cun multiple parts within 1 bar. I want to use the tool I pick on all parts on this bar before I return it to the tool changer. I also have front bar/ back bar on dual jaw kurts. I can move freely where ever once I genorate code. My current way is to offset part to get tool path, ID end point and write subs. Then I have to structure all this into the main program. If i could just genorate tool path cut/paste ... OMG I could double/tripple my effeciency. |
