i dont think we understand what you need to do? just basic 2d top and side views of different types of pulleys? "V" belt or "timing" belt pullies? You should be able to do that with just about any cad, drawing or painting program. If you are using a windows based machine, you can use the Paint program. It is under /accesories on your start/program list. If you are looking for a cad program. there are some free ones out there. Just use google to search around for them. If you are looking for the proper angles and spacing etc, I would assume that information is there for the finding.

sorry if i wasnt clear

i want to cut differnet styles and sizes of timing pulleys
i want to cut it on foam using a hot wire foam cutter
so i will need a 2d profile for it

is there any program that i can enter number of teeth, OD, ID , pitch and it just generate the pulley for me

PS: Ironcad do the exact same job but on gears only

not that im aware of, however many of the online parts houses, include cad drawings of all of their parts. you might be able to download and make use of that data

if they are foam, how perfect do they have to be, are they for casting?
are you having a hard time getting the math to work out between the tooth lengh and the diameter of the pully? or are you not exactly sure of the finer details of the tooth geometry? if you give me some details, i can see what i can do for you with my cad program.

thank you very much for beeing so patiencent with me .
also thank you for offering to spare some time to help me with your cad work

to explain things further
the thing is that i want to make some pulleys , differnet teeth count, differnet styles (HTD, H, XML, etc)
i am trying some project , and i dont know exactly what will fit fine and what belts will be avilable in my market

so i thought of casting some pullies then finish them with sanding paper and give them a try .

the math is not the problem , the details of the tooth geometry is the problem

thats about it

try this link
https://sdp-si.com/eStore/Direct.asp?GroupID=217
i went to thier site and selected a pulley, clicked its info link, selected my type of cad file. i used .iges. and it gave me a completely workable cad file to steel the toothed perimeter of. the .dxf option was not as helpful, but im sure if you find what your program can open you will be fine. if youd like, send me the link to the exact pully you want and i can do the cad work on my end. I too run a foam cutter so i know what sort of results you need.

oh ok, i understand better now. go to that same site i sent you but go to the home root page and locate the belt listing. the belts have pdf files that display the exacty angles and spacing of the teeth on the different sizes and models of belts.
good luck, let me know if i can help
