stl to ncp file creation

I have a couple of A level students needing to do some 3D machining and we need to create NCP files from STL data. The software we have is tied up elsewhere and is dongle protected and I was wondering whether there was any free software available to do the job?

E-mail me your details to 'enquiries AT pressgo-cnc.co.uk' and I will send you a password to download the software.
This download is approx 20Mb so you will need a Broadband connection.

Alternatvely, send me your postal address and I'll put a CD in the post for you.

Freemill (the operative word here is FREE)

www.cncportal.com to download . STL to gcode. they claim 50 postprocessors included.

I have Freemill but cannot get it to work. I have contacted MecSoft but not had a reply. The software hangs my computer when trying to set the parting plane and there is nothing I can do but re-set the machine. I have tried downloading it a few times but always the same result so I don't have much faith in the product.

They won't support freemill to my knowledge. I never had problems such as you describe but it is a weak program at best. Sorry for the inconvienence.
