I need to take a drawing of polylines from Photoshop to illustrator save it as .dxf and import it into autsketch or autocad 07, when i get this far the demensions are way out. what is the easiest way to scale it to original and place it at 0,0 ? Any help would be great. thanks. |

| Most likely it gets scaled to metric, by 25.4 or the opposite, by 1/25.4. Use the scale command in AutoCAD with one of these scale factors. If it's off by some other amount, measure it to find out how much you need to scale it by. Once scaled correctly, just use the move command to move it to 0,0

| In 2007, after selecting the objects, it should ask for a basepoint. After that, if you're in Ortho mode, it will say "ortho" on the screen. Hitting the TAB key will get it to ask for the scale factor. If you turn off Ortho mode (F8), it will ask for the scale factor after the base point.

| The base point is the location the object is scaled from. If you'r scaling a rectangle, and choose the lower left corner as the base point, the object will scale up and to the right.

| Not for scaling, but for the move command. You may have to enter #0,0
