    hpgl and stepper moter control

Not sure where I should post this linkso i'll post it here.
In doing some searching for info I stumbled onto the following site:
    http://cstep.luberth.com/
    lots of info.
here's a copy of the opening page:
"A program that reads a HPGL drawing and controls steppermotors connected to parallel pc port
For stepper motor driven XY(Z) engraving / milling / router tables
    For Hobby use
System Requirements: a PC 80386 and up, With DOS (or Windows)"
I have downloaded and am now trying to see how this works.
Maybe one of the folks that use dos or windows more than I do, could check it out and report back
