german transaltion question

Im not sure if this is the right sub-fourm or not (feel free to move it else wise)

I have a german drawing here that I am doing over in english for a customer and I am having problems with one note. I used a translator program for the words but it still got me nowhere.

"ACHTUNG: Anschweissbolzen
pos. 5 und 6 noch
zusaetzich mit
a=3 verschweissen"

from the program I used i got the following translations:
ACHTUNG = Attention/ Warning
Anschweissbolzen = white bolt
pos. 5 und 6 noch = pos. 5 and 6 yet
zusaetzich mit = in addition with
a=3 verschweissen = ??? weld

Im just wondering if someone on here could make any sense of this for me.

Attention: Weld-on bolts position 5 and 6 also weld with a=3.

Bolzen could be a bolt, shaft, or pin....

Try a Google Image search on the words.

yes thank you all for the info ... thats about what I can come up with and right now im reading an article on a=3 and i believe this will explain it all .

I think the a=3 is the specified thickness of the 45 degree weld around the bolt. The bolts are stump-welded or welded from the rear.

A=3 denotes the size of the fillet.

Sorry, language problem, I can't get fillet into metal. In my dictionary it is: A) piece of boneless meat from near the loins or ribs. B) A strip of ribbon etc. worn round the head.
So what is the metal fillet?

Radius joining two planes; chamfer with a radius.

Or Leisteschweißung perhaps - 'border' weld.

So a weld with a radius. Never drawn it, never seen it on a drawing. But we're only speculating over a drawing we don't see.

I misled you slightly because I did not notice you were referring to a weld. The bead of metal you lay down when welding is also a fillet.

I tried various different terms in the Altavista Babelfish translating from English to German and back and got things such as 'legs around corners'. Machine translation is not reliable.
