Request to current CNC Operators

[CNC UI 4U]

Hey There,
I have been charged with creating a new U I (user interface) for an un-named software company.

They currently support 2.5D CAD/CAM typically supporting the signage and millwork market.

I would like to get some real world feedback as to what users would like to see in this UI.

This is a CAD/CAM software package that is on the market currently and we would like to revamp it to show our users how robust the product is already, as well as include new features that would be useful across the board.

From a usability stand point for a CAD/CAM product, what are some things that you currently enjoy or appreciate about your software, and some things you wish they did better.

If you could list the software you are currently using, as well as likes and dislikes and suggested improvements.
You may send the comments and feedback to me directly if you wish, rather than posting them on the forum, or post on the forum, so other users can chime in.

of special note I would like info from new users, experienced users and folks in between.

Indicate what format you would like for creating toolpaths such as Icons or pictograms or plain text, a wizard style format or other.

All assistance would be greatly appreciated.
