cad cam

can someone please explain to me how i can take a jpeg or any image and make a dxf file to import to mastercam and have it look even close to the image I try to import.sorry if this is a vafue question new to cadcam always had to hand program old school style.

the jpeg get vectorized in corel or bobart,mastercam art and saved as a dxf

but when i vectorize something and bring it up in auto cad it looks nothing like the jpeg any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you're talking about an image like a photo, it's not realy possible to create a .dxf from a detailed image. Raster to vector works best with line art type images, and even then it doesnt always work too well.

with vectored images some clean up is needed. attached is the jpeg used for the dxf in this post.You can see around the mouth and eyes that a little cad work is needed bit most of the image is good
