Bobcad. Deal with them for a better price.
For just a little more than your price you can get Rhino with Madcam and be set for 2d. 3d, and soon to be 4 th axis.
Mike

No greater love can a man have than this, that he give his life for a friend.
about 2 weeks ago bobcad had version 20 and a 6 cd set training dvd $700 on sale I bet you could still get that price and for 200 more have them throw in bobart
I didn't pay that for mine and ended up with V20.5 CD 6 DVD Tutorials. I think the total cost was around $500. Maybe less, but well worth the price for the power. The Add-on BobArt ProX was $300 + another seat. That came with DVD Tutorials as well.Originally Posted by lakeside
DougStrong33 this is a good buy for the price. You get free CNC Post Processors and they will even help you customize one or many for FREE![]()
You will see a lot of reviews from others and they either hate it or love it. Download a FREE Demo at www.bobcad.com and check it out for your self.
If you have any questions about it I'm sure you will find a lot of help in the BobCad Area in the Zone.
Good Luck and remember that the Cad/Cam you choose has to fit your needs.

When you buy you get what you pay for and sometimes not.
You never get more than you pay for, unless you steal.
This is a real world.

I would call Onecnc and find out when they will have their next special. You can get their 2 1/2 d mill express for about $1000
I have nothing against onecnc but why buy a 2 1/2 axis software get 3d and yes with bobcad do a little crying and price wil go downOriginally Posted by converterk
Because Onecnc works.
works for how much $$ for 2 1/2. bobcad 3D sale is on for $500
OneCNC is awsome software, and if I had the money ($3500.00) to get 2 1/2 axis I wouldn't bother. Mastercam level 1 2 1/2 is $5500. I'd wait and save for that. BCC is a software that is reasonably priced, and if you know what your doing it does a lot more than you think. My customers don't know what software I use to program for them, because they are very satisfied with the programs. They get an IGES or a STEP CAD file with a G-Code Program that works. They have been using me since BCC V17, and if they found out that I'm using a low end software (They Use Mastercam Level 1 2 1/2axis), they might not care.Originally Posted by converterk
Bottom Line is Doug Strong 33 has $1000 for Software. He can get BCC V20.7 (BCC V21 has no help files) and either stay with it or get something better later, but for now he needs software. Not to mention none of us know what type of work he is doing.
It could be for a small machine shop or a hobby.

Because you have asked for all in one program you have put yourself into a corner.
If however you were prepared to use some seperate programs you could do it all for free.
CAD....... http://www.freebyte.com/cad/cad.htm
CAM.......LazyCam...... (Comes free with Mach3 trial version) .... http://www.machsupport.com/artsoft/index/index.htm
Or SheetCam $150 US www.sheetcam.com
Or CamBam Free http://www.brusselsprout.org/CAMBAM/
Verify......CNC Simulator..... http://www.cncsimulator.com/
Or Verify with the Mach3 tool path display ( Not as good as CNC sim though)
Or you can spend $1000 on an all in one package.
EDIT: BTW Free does not always mean inferior. I would test the free options first, b4 you fork out for the pay software.
CNCEZPRO offers a simulator as well $400.00 which isn't bad for the price. I'm strongly concidering using this in place of BCC's Simulator. Covers Milling, Turning, and canned cycle simulations for both.
www.cncezpro.com
www.alibre.com has a free parametric solid model CAD. Then you can get a separate CAM Software.
BTW:Ynneb where did you get that cool avatar?
