What affordable programs exist to create toolpaths or 3d models for relief carving? Something to be able to produce things like vectorart3d.com sells? I know VS3d will do it but that doesnt fit my pocket's discription of affordable. MasterArt will do it as well but once again$$$$$$. ArtCam, BobArt(besides the fact that Bob seems to be in the business to piss people off) still to much$$$$. I have Mach 3, Rhino, Solidworks, VCarve Pro, is there an affordable plug in for doing relief? Is there an affordable stand alone program to do it? When I say affordable I'm thinking free to $200 or so. Anyone? |

| You can create models with Rhino, if you know what your doing. You can create toolpaths with MeshCAM, www.meshcam.com. A future version of MeshCAM, MeshCAM Pro, will have some relief creation methods. Not sure how much it will be, or when it will be released.
