How to convert text to dxf for Sheetcam

Hi,
I was wondering what the best program, or a good program, cheap, is to convert text into dxf so that Sheetcam can take it in. Autocad can do this, but if you use any other font, it doesn't work, and Autocad's formatting, sizing isn't the best for this. Just wondering what you use and what is good to use for this. Something that is cheap or free for the Hobbyist.

I have found a program called OulineArt from dwg.com, are there any other free one's. By the way this program runs great. Is there any better way to do with Autocad?

It has been MANY years since I have used ACad.
I believe you can explode the text to turn it into line segments.
It won't take long to try anyway.

Not unless you have the Express tools, or a newer version of AutoCAD that includes them. And even if you do, they'll require cleanup. I've found Outline Art to be much faster, although it's conversion is slightly different than ACAD's.
