Being a Linux user, my choice of decent CAD programs seems to be limited. Especially in the 3d CAD dept! But this one looks promising, Open Cascade. http://www.opencascade.org/ Before I go through the trouble of learning how to install something is that not an RPM or in Yum, I want to know what other people think of this thing first. Anybody have any comments and/or experience with this program? |

http://fedora.redhat.com/ I cannot tell you how much I DONT miss windows. Except the CAD/CAM dept was way the hell lacking. But as more and more technically savvy folks, there will be the CNC crowd who joins and makes good programs for Linux. I just downloaded an application called Blender 3d, this thing looks top notch and cost me nothing. Hoping to learn to use it, and draw out some plans I have for future CNC projects. |
