Ethernet Communication with Fanuc 18i-T

I am working on a VTL with Fanuc 18i-T Control. The control has Ethernet Option, but no Data Server. When I have set-up the IP Address and the Subnet Mask on the Control and WINDOWS NT, the control started responding to the PING.

However since the control has no Harddisk or ATA FlashDisk, the communication has to be from PC side.

I need to write the UDP and TCP address and Port Nos. in appropriate Files on WINDOWS NT System.

Can anybody help me about how to configure the NT.

What software will you be using on the PC side to communicate with the control? You will most probably have to enter the IP address and other info in that software. Its best you look for a software with remote call, you can request the program directly from control and leave the PC as a server.

Dear Mouldmaker,

I can only communicate from PC. I have no screens on the control to access remote PC.
I can use softwares like CuteFTP, however, first the PC side configuration need to be done.
