Macro or sub programming on a older fanuc wire. You know those older wires that don't have much memmory. Anyone have an exsample of a sub that I can use? Basic application is cutting a gear. I would like to create 1 tooth, and then run the sub to create the rest of them! Any help would be great. I am looking for exsamples. Thanks! |

| Would'nt you have to keep rotating the material as the subroutine would only cut the tooth in the original position? How limited is your control's memory? I have a control,(cnc mill) which has a rotate command(G68 x0 y0 90) Does your fanuc control have such a command? If so maybe this is posible. |

| As my control works which is a Milltronics Centurion VI , The above code uses the x,y coordinate as the center of rotation and the 90 was the degree of rotation of the work coordinate. The L command would let you define the # of repeats of the subroutine, therefore the rotation command would need to be in the subroutine. Then G69 shuts off the rotation. I had a Fanuc 6M control, but I don't remember finding a rotation command. Maybe your control is newer and this option exists. I would call fanuc and see if this is an option on your control and if it will cost you to turn it on. More than likely it will be a different G code. |
