    Where to get Corel Draw?

Where can I get a copy or even an eval copy? Is one available? I could not find one on their site. I hate to buy it without trying first.

I want to save letters as DXF files.

    Thanks!

    Warren

Try e-bay. I purchased a new copy of Version 11 about a month ago. There are usually several versions for sale.

Link - Try CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12—It's FREE!

    Warren,

Here's a link to an evalutation/trial version on Corel's web site:

Try CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12—It's FREE!

You have to register using an email address and other info before you can access the download. Looks like a good time to use one of your disposable email addresses.

    Have fun,

    HayTay

I got confused when I saw Corel Graphics and didn't know that was a Suite of products to try out.

And I know there are a few programs out there for creating DXF files for image files and text but I'm writing my own now in VB6. I have already created DXF files from text and images. I'm now getting ready to work on something similar to SheetCam that creates the toolpath and generates the GCode.

    Lightbulb

You may also want to try CorelDRAW Essentials 2 (Contains CorelDRAW 11).

I don't know if there's any difference between the Essentials version and the Suite version, other than it being one version behind. If you can use this, the price listed on Corel's web site is $79.99 US. Not a bad price for a Corel product.

    Here's the link:

    CorelDraw Essentials 2

    Check it out,

If you just want to convert Truetype fonts to .dxf, try OutlineArt. It's shareware, about $25. Download it and try it out. http://www.freefirestudio.com/outline.htm
