    Talking What Would you Buy?

Greetings-I am a High School Manufacturing Teacher in NY. I currently use 2 Intellitek Superprolight Milling machines and 1 Axyz Millenium CNC Router in my classroom with my students (running toolpath). If we need a solid model we use Autodesk inventor to create it. (they have a full year of inventor before I get them). I start off the year with hand G and M coding and end with some more complex parts (a co2 powered dragster may be the most elaborate) We used to use Mastercam and I became very comfortable with it, however it was a large learning curve for the high school kids. We then switched to Edgecam which at first was convenient to bring the inventor files in with no issues. Until we needed tech support- can't say it was even bad it was non-existant. Would not run at all on my network this year.
My question is I am looking at purchasing a new CAM package that will do the following things, Simple signage. Some basic hole operations. Some surfaces for the C02 Cars. and allow me to cut out parts with tabs like for adirondack furniture. and create some electric guitars for senior projects. I only spend about 15 weeks on this unit so it has to work with high school students with a minimal learning curve. Does anyone have any suggestions of a software package that would do what I need it to do and generate code for all 3 of my machines. I need tech support and it must run on a network. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I second what EBC suggested. I think VCarve Pro can do what you ask and it is VERY easy to learn.

Best money I have ever spent on software and the support is second to none.

Take a look at VisualMill. It's a very versatile but easy-to-use CAM program, and the support is second to none. Mecsoft offers a special deal for schools - they get the Pro package, networked to run on multiple computers, for the price of one seat of the entry-level program. Let me know if you want to know more about it.
