I have been told that when you use cnc machines with the big name controllers such as heidenhein and fanuc etc that you can get a 'post processor' which is used by the CAM software to generate code and toolpaths which is compatible with the machine its being used on. Is it possible to get a postprocessor for geckodrives or mach2 and if not, what alternatives are there/how else does it work ?

| It depends on the CAM program you're using, but most come with a "generic" g-code post that will work with Mach2/3.
