I had the Type edit 2003 version.
I like more Artcam 8, It is easier than Type edit.
But Type looks like has more options

VS3D has similar capabilites to both Type 3 and ArtCam Pro ... at a MUCH lower cost. And VS3D specializes in virtual free-form sculpting tools which others don't have.

PS: Yes, this a biased opinion since I'm the developer of VS3D

I,m using a chinese version of type3. The translated user manual sucks but I am plugging through with the trial and error method. All I can say is the more I learn the more I like but learning has been slow.
If there is anyone out there that is more familiar with type3 I would die for a lesson if it would speed the learning curve. Especially with the 3d stuff.

I have been using Type 3 for about eight years now and I am very satisfied with its performance. They have lowered the price to be more competitive, the way the software has been set up the manual is the help ? mark. The written manual was all screwed up for a long time. This is a very powerful software I was going to buy Art Cam at the time and Type 3 blow it away very ease. I went throw the normal software bob cad, x cad, surf cad, alpha cad and master cad. But I was doing art work and I have been using it ever since. I carve Signs, and I do a lot of wood carvings Type 3 has never let me down and the yearly upgrades have been great but expensive.

    type3 english users manual...

    Dear Friends !

Unfortunately I lost my English users manual book of Type with the original installation cd, and I only have a German one (printed big red book), which I cannot understand as well as an English one.

Do you anyone have any ideas, how to get the english version in printed ot pdf or any other useful format please ?

I asked the support team, they don't deliver it to me, I haven't the cd already to find the pdf, and I have no college, who would use this.

Could you help me please ?

    Thank you !

    Daniel
