| Usually with 2-1/2D, you're cuts can be any depth, but the depth doesn't change during the cut. The tool plunges or ramps to the depth, makes the cut, and retracts. With 3D, the depth of cut can be constantly changing during the cut. DareBee, try searching yourself and see if you can actually find the thread you mentioned. I couldn't find it.
