I think you're not programming that right either. Do you need to change #6411? Not sure if you can in a program but then I don't have any 15Ms anymore.

P control axis number. I think you need to be like this:

G10L50N6411R-90
G11

R doesn't take any decimals so keep that in mind. P is only on parameters with axis control.

I think that parameter setting mode is on because ive used it to set cutter comps and stuff but N6411 instead of P6411 might be the problem. thanks i'll try that. I'm using this to rotate. Because g68 isn't set up if you know another way to do this better then by all means i'm up for suggestions. thanks Bob

j612 is in referance to the book (Fanuc) . i have not been to the shop i will go on wend then i will let you know i need book #2 i have #1 i was just looking at it the other day i will try it on my control . cutter comp is easyer with assighined vareables
# 2401 insted of g10 & g11 . you don't have to put g11 in but that leaves the path open and thats not good send me a copy of the program i am leaving for the shop @ 7:00 or 7:30 am what exactly what you are doing again there are assighned macro variables thats easyer
i found something
don't use a . in the program

Here's whats in the book

Warning #1 Before changing pitch erroe compensation data or backlash compensation data,disable pitch error compensation or backlash comprnsation (return tothe machine zero point) if the data is changed while comp is enabled the machine position will shift.

#Warning #2 cancel the canned cycle mode before using this function, otherwise the machine starts driling

Book notes
That parameter is listed ok
.
In the parameter input mode other nc statments cannot be specified.
donot use a decimal point in adress "R"

in the Parameter input mode , a fixed-point number cannot be specifiedin adress "R"

Format

G10L50;
N--R---;
N--P---R---;
:
N--R---;
G11;

where

G10L50 : Parameter input mode
G11 : Parameter input mode cancle
N--- : Parameter number(or pitcherror data number + 10000)
P--- : axis number (for axis parameters )
R--- : Parameter setting (or pitch error data)

you need this format the above is exactly from the book
wish i had a copyer.

if i can help you with anything else just ask
THbear
